Hymenoplasty

The reconstruction of the hymen following the defloration has not been a usual procedure in these areas in the last 20 years. It is performed sporadically. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. The edges of the hymen affected by the defloration are refreshed and sewn back using the absorbable sutures, leaving a small opening in the vagina for the patient's physiological needs.
